GMC-registered Physician Associate & Aesthetic Practitioner at Melatone Skin Clinic, Battersea.

Healthy skin for every tone. The clinical goal for every pigmentation patient is even skin tone, not lighter skin. Arman does not offer, recommend, or supply bleaching or skin-whitening treatments. A patient's natural skin tone is healthy and worth protecting.

Why Melatone

Melatone is Melanin and Skin Tone, set in one word.

Because the two were never meant to be treated apart.

I am a brown Indian man, raised in South London. I went to school in Stockwell, and I still call Brixton home, a childhood and a life spent on streets where every shade of skin and every culture live side by side. I did not learn skin of colour from a textbook. I grew up inside it. That is where this clinic really begins, long before any clinical training, in a city that taught me skin carries identity, and identity deserves respect.

The science came after, the long way round. A BSc in biomedical science, then a postgraduate diploma to qualify as a Physician Associate, then years on the frontline of NHS general practice in Lewisham and Bromley. Thousands of consultations, listening to people describe their health, their worries, and their skin in their own words.

I also know the other side of the desk. As a brown man looking for aesthetic care, the field was rarely built with skin like mine in mind. The devices were calibrated on lighter skin. The products and protocols treated melanin as a risk to manage rather than a normal range to understand. More than once I heard a version of the same sentence: your skin is complicated, your skin is high risk, perhaps come back when there is less pigment to worry about.

That is not a gap in patients. It is a gap in the market.

The clinical truth is plainer than the excuse. Skin of colour is more prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and a laser or peel set for Fitzpatrick I to III may cause real harm at IV to VI. The honest answer was never to avoid these skins. It was to learn them: the right wavelengths, the right energy, the right preparation, the right aftercare, delivered by people who see deeper tones every day rather than once in a while.

So I put all of it together. The South London upbringing, the science, the years in practice, the lived experience of my own skin. Melatone is the clinic I could never find. Here the full range of skin tones is the standard, not the exception. Melanin is not a complication. It is the reason we exist.

Arman Zaki, Founder

Bio

Arman Zaki is the Founder of Melatone Skin Clinic and a GMC-registered Physician Associate (Ref A8131967). Raised in South London, he came to clinical practice the long way round: a BSc in Biomedical Science, then a Postgraduate Diploma to qualify as a Physician Associate, followed by years on the frontline of NHS general practice in Lewisham and Bromley. He moved into aesthetic medicine with a focus on regenerative skin therapy and skin of colour. He offers personalised skin consultations for a wide range of conditions and provides treatments including microneedling, chemical peels, PRP therapy, skin boosters, polynucleotides, and regenerative skin solutions.

His clinical philosophy is built on honest evidence reading. Every protocol at Melatone is selected against the published literature, with explicit notes when category-level evidence is stronger than product-specific evidence. Patients leave consultations with a printed plan and a clear reading of what's proven and what is plausible.

Arman leads the Post-GLP-1 Recovery Programme, Melatone's 12-month protocol for facial restoration after rapid weight loss on Mounjaro, Ozempic, or Wegovy. The programme combines polynucleotides and hydration boosters into a sequenced clinical plan, with any filler delivered by Rhianna Beckford where appropriate.
