Dermal fillers at a glance

What it is

A hyaluronic acid gel injected to restore or add volume and to support facial structure, contour and balance. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the skin, and these fillers are reversible. A CE or UKCA marked medical device.

What it is not

It is not a skin booster. A filler adds volume and shape; a skin booster supports hydration and skin quality. If you want lip hydration rather than volume, see our LUMI-PRO Lip Skin Booster.

Who delivers it

Rhianna Beckford, HCPC-registered Paramedic and Aesthetic Practitioner. A registered healthcare professional, trained to assess, treat, and manage any complication.

Suitable for

Adults aged 18 and over, after a consultation and facial assessment. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, certain medical histories or active skin infection may mean filler is not suitable. Reviewed at consultation.

Price

Lip from £165, cheek from £200, nasolabial and marionette £260, perioral £180. Filler dissolving and correction £160 (consultation-led). Prices verified 16 June 2026.

Outcomes may vary by individual factors. Aesthetic results are not guaranteed. Dermal filler is for adults aged 18 and over only. Treatments delivered in line with MHRA guidance for non-surgical cosmetic procedures and the ASA / CAP Code Section 12 requirements for medical aesthetic advertising.

Filler or skin booster?

Two different goals. We will be honest about which you need.

A lot of people arrive asking for filler when what they actually want is hydration and skin quality, or the other way round. We would rather get you to the right treatment than sell you the wrong one. Here is the simple version, and we confirm it together at consultation.

Safety, the part that matters most

A registered injector, and a treatment that can be reversed.

Registered professional

Your injector, Rhianna Beckford, is an HCPC-registered Paramedic. A registered healthcare professional is trained to assess suitability and to recognise and manage the rare but serious complications that can occur with any injectable.

Reversible

Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved or adjusted if you are unhappy or if there is a clinical reason. That reversibility is one of the reasons we use HA filler.

Assessed first

Every treatment starts with a consultation and a facial assessment. We discuss your goals, your medical history, the realistic outcome, and any risks before anything is decided. 18 and over only.

Common effects include swelling, redness and bruising that usually settle within days. Serious complications are uncommon but possible, which is exactly why a registered injector and a proper assessment matter. We give you full aftercare and our contact details at your appointment.

Our promise

Subtle, balanced, honest

We would rather do less and do it well. If filler is not right for your goal, we will say so, and point you to the treatment that is, whether that is a skin booster, a peel, or simply good skincare and sun protection. The consultation is where we get that right, together.

FAQs from Battersea patients

Common questions.

What is a dermal filler?

A dermal filler is a gel, usually made of hyaluronic acid (a sugar that occurs naturally in the skin), injected to restore or add volume and to support facial structure, contour and balance. It is different from a skin booster: a filler adds volume and shape, a skin booster supports hydration and skin quality. At Melatone, dermal filler is delivered by Rhianna Beckford, HCPC-registered Paramedic, after a consultation. It is for adults aged 18 and over only.

Is dermal filler safe?

Dermal filler is generally well tolerated when delivered by a trained, registered practitioner after a proper assessment, but no injectable treatment is without risk. Common effects include swelling, redness and bruising that usually settle within days. Rare but serious complications are why it matters that your injector is a registered healthcare professional who can recognise and manage them. Our injector is Rhianna Beckford, an HCPC-registered Paramedic. Hyaluronic acid fillers also have the advantage of being reversible. Suitability is assessed at consultation, and the treatment is for adults aged 18 and over only.

What is the difference between lip filler and a lip skin booster?

They are different treatments with different goals. Lip filler is a volumising hyaluronic acid filler that adds volume and shapes the lip, delivered here by Rhianna Beckford. A lip skin booster, our LUMI-PRO Lip Skin Booster, is a hydration treatment that supports the skin quality of the lip and is not used to add volume. If your goal is hydration rather than volume, the lip skin booster may be the better fit. We match the treatment to your goal at consultation. See skin boosters and Profhilo.

Can dermal filler be dissolved or corrected?

Yes. One advantage of hyaluronic acid filler is that it can be dissolved or adjusted. If you have previous filler you would like softened, corrected or removed, we offer a filler dissolving and correction consultation. Because dissolving uses a prescription-only medicine, it is assessment-led and arranged after a consultation rather than booked directly. Suitability is confirmed first.

Who delivers dermal filler at Melatone?

All dermal filler at Melatone is delivered by Rhianna Beckford, HCPC-registered Paramedic and Aesthetic Practitioner. As a registered healthcare professional, she is trained to assess suitability, deliver the treatment, and recognise and manage any complication.

Is dermal filler safe for darker skin tones?

Hyaluronic acid filler is injected, not light or heat based, so it does not target melanin the way some laser or energy devices can. As with any injection there is a risk of bruising, and in Fitzpatrick IV to VI skin any trauma carries a risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation, so technique and aftercare matter. We assess your skin and history at consultation and use a careful approach to reduce that risk. Individual results vary.

How much does dermal filler cost in Battersea?

Lip filler is from £165 for 0.5ml or £220 for 1ml. Cheek filler is £200 for 1ml or £260 for 2ml. Nasolabial fold filler and marionette line filler are £260. Perioral sculpting is £180. Filler dissolving and correction is £160 and is arranged through a consultation. Every treatment begins with a consultation and assessment. Prices verified 16 June 2026.

How long does dermal filler last and what is the downtime?

Results are visible immediately and settle over about two weeks as any swelling resolves. How long it lasts depends on the product and the area treated, often from several months to over a year. Downtime is usually minimal, with possible swelling, redness or bruising for a few days. We give you full aftercare at your appointment. Individual results vary.
