Dermal filler is generally well tolerated when delivered by a trained, registered practitioner after a proper assessment, but no injectable treatment is without risk. Common effects include swelling, redness and bruising that usually settle within days. Rare but serious complications are why it matters that your injector is a registered healthcare professional who can recognise and manage them. Yes. One advantage of hyaluronic acid filler is that it can be dissolved or adjusted. If you have previous filler you would like softened, corrected or removed, we offer a filler dissolving and correction consultation. Because dissolving uses a prescription-only medicine, it is assessment-led and arranged after a consultation rather than booked directly. Suitability is confirmed first.

All dermal filler at Melatone is delivered by Rhianna Beckford, HCPC-registered Paramedic and Aesthetic Practitioner. As a registered healthcare professional, she is trained to assess suitability, deliver the treatment, and recognise and manage any complication.

Hyaluronic acid filler is injected, not light or heat based, so it does not target melanin the way some laser or energy devices can. As with any injection there is a risk of bruising, and in Fitzpatrick IV to VI skin any trauma carries a risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation, so technique and aftercare matter. We assess your skin and history at consultation and use a careful approach to reduce that risk. Individual results vary.

Lip filler is from £165 for 0.5ml or £220 for 1ml. Cheek filler is £200 for 1ml or £260 for 2ml. Nasolabial fold filler and marionette line filler are £260. Perioral sculpting is £180. Results are visible immediately and settle over about two weeks as any swelling resolves. How long it lasts depends on the product and the area treated, often from several months to over a year.
