We do not present EXO-GROW as a medical treatment for traction alopecia or central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia (CCCA). These are conditions seen more often in darker skin, and CCCA in particular is a scarring alopecia where early medical assessment matters. EXO-GROW is an exosome-based hair and scalp range from Dp Dermaceuticals. In clinic we use MG-EXO-GROW, a meso-glide solution delivered through Dr Pen M8s microneedling, so the formulation can pass through fresh micro-channels in the scalp. It is designed to support the look and condition of hair and scalp. It is a cosmetic treatment, not a medical hair-loss treatment, and individual results vary.

EXO-GROW uses a patented immune-tolerant exosome, IT-HLA-G-EXO (HLA-G COMPLEXA), designed to avoid immune detection so it aims to stay effective with regular use. The formulation carries around three thousand growth factors and proteins in nano-sized particles intended for scalp absorption, alongside ingredients such as Polygonum Multiflorum, Sophora Japonica, CICA exosomes from Centella Asiatica and Ceramide ComplexA. Not all exosomes are the same, and this is positioned as cosmetic support.

Two peer-reviewed reviews we cite: a 2026 systematic review of microneedling with exosomes in dermatology (Dhaliwal and colleagues, Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, PubMed 42027180), which found only 8 small studies and called for more evidence, and a 2025 systematic review of clinical studies of exosomes for hair loss (Al Ameer and colleagues, Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology, PubMed 40955427), which found the evidence promising but limited by small, varied studies.
