Laser hair removal · Fitzpatrick IV to VI · Battersea SW11
Laser hair removal for dark skin, done properly.
The wavelength is the whole point. On dark, brown and black skin, the wrong laser targets your skin as well as the hair, and that is what causes burns and dark marks. We use the longer 1064nm wavelength, which supports darker skin by reaching the hair follicle while sparing your surface pigment. Patch test first, always.
Laser hair removal for melanin-rich skin in Battersea, a short walk from Clapham Junction, serving patients across London. It is suitable for all skin types, including Fitzpatrick V to VI, when the right laser is used. For darker skin the 1064nm wavelength lowers the risk of burns and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Laser is delivered by Catia Zaki, VTCT Level 4 laser practitioner, under clinical oversight, after a consultation and patch test.
