How much does laser hair removal cost in London and what should a course include?
Laser hair removal in London is priced per area and per course. At Melatone a course of 7 runs from £196 for the upper lip or nose to £1,936 for full body. A course should include a Fitzpatrick skin type assessment, the wavelength stated in nanometres, a patch test at the real treatment settings before the first full session, seven sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, contact cooling during treatment, aftercare advice, and a named practitioner who reviews your skin through the course. At Melatone every one of those is standard.
Where in London can I get full body laser hair removal, and what does a course cost?
Melatone Skin Clinic, Battersea, London SW11, a 10 to 14 minute walk from Clapham Junction. A full body course of 7 is £1,936 (£277 a session) for women and £1,568 (£224 a session) for men, and a single full body session is £395. A full body session takes about an hour and three quarters, on the SmartDiode MD platform, with 1064nm for darker skin. Laser is delivered by Catia Zaki, VTCT Level 4, under the clinical oversight of Arman Zaki, GMC-registered Physician Associate.
Calibrated for darker skin tones
Calibrated for every tone of melanin.
Our 1064 nm wavelength is the established standard for Fitzpatrick V and VI. The longer wavelength reaches the follicle without competing for the melanin sitting in your skin. Combined with conservative fluence chosen at your patch test, that is what the evidence supports for the deepest skin tones. No laser is entirely without risk on any skin tone, which is exactly why the wavelength, the settings and the clinician matter. The price on every row above is the same whatever your skin tone.

Why wavelength matters
The right setting for your skin.
Laser hair removal works by delivering energy to melanin in the hair follicle. In lighter skin, most wavelengths perform similarly. In deeper skin, an ill-chosen wavelength can affect surface melanin as well, causing pigmentation changes and burns.
The 1064nm wavelength penetrates deeper while being absorbed less by surface melanin. It is the widely used standard for treating darker skin types. The SMARTDiode platform carries all three wavelengths so your clinician can select the precise combination at your patch test, based on your skin assessment.
Contact cooling is built in throughout the session to protect the skin surface. All settings are confirmed at your £10 patch test before your course begins. What happens at your patch test, and what to watch for afterwards.
What the price buys
What a laser course should include.
1 · Assessment
Fitzpatrick skin typing, in person
Before any settings are chosen. Assessment is led by Arman Zaki, GMC-registered Physician Associate, and it decides the wavelength, not a guess from a photo.
2 · Wavelength, in nanometres
1064nm on Fitzpatrick IV to VI
Our SmartDiode MD platform delivers 755nm, 808nm and 1064nm. A clinic that cannot tell you the wavelength it will use on you has not decided.
3 · Patch test at real settings
£10, at least 48 hours before
A small test area at the settings we intend to use, photographed and reviewed, then deducted from your course.
4 · Seven sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart
Contact cooling throughout
Delivered by Catia Zaki, VTCT Level 4 laser practitioner, under clinical oversight. Progress tracked with photographs at consistent lighting.
5 · Aftercare and review
Daily SPF, no fresh tan, a named clinician
Any change in your skin is reviewed in clinic by the clinical team. Aftercare is part of the plan, not an upsell.
Straight pricing
No surprises at the till
No separate rate by skin tone. No pressure to buy a bigger course than your hair needs. The price in the table is the price you pay, and the £10 patch test comes off it.
Why a course, not one session: what the research says.
Laser only affects hair in its growth phase, so results build across sessions spaced weeks apart. A 2003 study of 100 women with Fitzpatrick IV to VI skin found that three to six sessions with an Nd:YAG, Alexandrite or diode laser gave a similar hair reduction of 35 to 40 percent at 12 months. A 2025 randomised split-face trial of 33 women with lower face hirsutism and Fitzpatrick III to V skin found that four sessions with a triple-wavelength diode laser (755, 810 and 1064nm), spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, reduced hair density by about 74 percent one month after the last session. Both studies were small, neither used our SmartDiode MD, and the 2025 trial followed patients for only a month, so they may guide expectations but cannot predict your result. Individual results vary.

Where the value sits.
Bundles are priced below the sum of their parts, so if you want two or three areas the bundle is usually the cheaper route: the Gateway is £686 for a course of 7 (Hollywood plus underarms), and the Legs Bundle is £1,054 (full legs plus underarms), each less than the areas booked separately. Full Body (Female) at £1,936 covers every area except the face, Top-to-Toe (Female) adds the face for £2,205, and men have their own Male Torso, Male Full Body and Male Top-to-Toe bundles.
Small areas suit a first course if you want to see how your skin and hair respond: Underarms are £206 for a course of 7 and the Entry Bundle (underarms plus upper lip) is £368. For hormone-driven facial hair, the Hirsutism Bundle (lip, chin, sideburns, jawline and neck) is £956 for a course of 7; read more on laser for PCOS and hirsutism. Men's areas and prices are on the laser for men page.

How much does laser hair removal cost in London and what should a course include?
Laser hair removal in London is priced per area and per course. At Melatone a course of 7 runs from £196 for the upper lip or nose (£28 a session) to £1,936 for full body (£277 a session), with underarms at £206 (£29 a session) and full legs at £931 (£133 a session).
Melatone Skin Clinic offers full body laser hair removal in Battersea, London SW11, a 10 to 14 minute walk from Clapham Junction, on the SmartDiode MD platform with 1064nm for darker skin. A full body course of 7 is £1,936 (£277 a session) for women and £1,568 (£224 a session) for men, and a single full body session is £395. A full body session takes about an hour and three quarters. Laser is delivered by Catia Zaki, VTCT Level 4, under the clinical oversight of Arman Zaki, GMC-registered Physician Associate.
Are bundles cheaper than booking the areas separately?
Yes. Every bundle is priced below the sum of its parts. The Entry Bundle (underarms plus upper lip) saves £7 a session against the two areas booked separately, the Legs Bundle (full legs plus underarms) saves £17, the Hirsutism Bundle saves £40 and the Male Torso saves £55. Full Body (Female), Male Full Body and the two Top-to-Toe packages are priced as complete treatments in their own right.
Which laser hair removal course should I choose: a single session, or a course of 3, 7 or 10?
A single session suits a trial or a top-up. A course of 3 is 13% below the single-session rate per session and lets you see how your skin and hair respond before committing further. A course of 7 is our clinical protocol, 30% below the single-session rate, with one more session than the usual six, because laser only treats hairs in their growth phase. A course of 10 is the lowest per-session rate, 39% below pay-as-you-go, for large or dense areas and hormone-driven hair, which can need more sessions. The same ladder applies to every area: Underarms are £42 for a single session, £109 for a course of 3, £206 for a course of 7 and £256 for a course of 10.
Why is the standard course 7 sessions rather than 6?
Laser only affects hair in its active growth phase, and only a share of your hair is in that phase at any one time. Six sessions is the common industry course; we include a seventh at no extra per-session cost because it catches the last cycle of growth that a six-session course often leaves behind. Sessions are 4 to 6 weeks apart. Why the course is 7 is explained in full on our journal.
Do prices differ for darker skin?
No. The price list is the same for every skin tone. What changes is the wavelength and the settings, which are chosen at your patch test. On Fitzpatrick IV to VI we use the 1064nm wavelength, which reaches the follicle while sparing more of the surface pigment.
What does the £10 patch test include and is it refunded?
The £10 patch test visit includes a consultation, a Fitzpatrick skin assessment and a small test area at the settings we intend to use, at least 48 hours before your first full session. The £10 is deducted from the cost of your course. If the patch test shows laser is not right for you, we tell you so.
Can I book single sessions instead of a course?
Yes. Every area is available as a single session, from £40 for the upper lip, nose or forehead, and single sessions suit a trial or a top-up. A course gives a lower price per session and is what delivers the result, because hair reduction builds over sessions spaced across the growth cycle.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
It gives long-term hair reduction rather than guaranteed permanent removal. Over a course, treated hair grows back finer, lighter and sparser, and many people need only an occasional maintenance session afterwards. Hormone-driven areas can need more upkeep. We say this before you start, not after.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
Most people describe a hot flick against the skin, and contact cooling runs throughout the session. The £10 patch test shows you exactly how it feels at the settings we intend to use before you commit to a course.
How long between laser hair removal sessions?
Four to six weeks. Laser only affects hair in its active growth phase, so sessions are spaced to catch each cycle; going sooner does not speed things up.
Does laser hair removal cause cancer?
No. The laser uses light, not ionising radiation, and it is absorbed by pigment in the hair follicle at a depth of a few millimetres. There is no evidence that laser hair removal causes cancer. What it can do on the wrong settings is burn or mark the skin, which is why we patch test and choose the wavelength for your Fitzpatrick type.

Important information
This page describes a regulated aesthetic service. Prices are correct at the date of publication; the clinic price list applies at the time of booking. Laser hair removal gives long-term hair reduction rather than guaranteed permanent removal, and results are built over a course of sessions. It is suitable for all skin types, including Fitzpatrick V to VI, when the appropriate 1064nm wavelength and settings are used; no treatment is entirely without risk, and individual results vary. Treatment follows an in-person consultation and a patch test, and is not suitable during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Laser is delivered by a VTCT Level 4 practitioner under clinical oversight. Melatone Skin Clinic Ltd, Unit 13A, Battersea Business Centre, 99-109 Lavender Hill, London SW11 5QL. For complaints or concerns, contact the clinic directly.
The one cost a laser course does not cover is daily SPF, which is the step that keeps the result clean on every skin tone. This is the homecare we reach for most, with free UK delivery from £50.
What we use in clinic, now on your shelf
After laser on deeper skin tones, daily SPF is the non-negotiable step, with barrier support and even-tone care alongside. This is the homecare we reach for most, with free UK delivery from £50.
