Two treatments, two jobs
Profhilo remodels. A skin booster hydrates.
Profhilo is a hybrid hyaluronic acid complex with no chemical cross-linking agent, so it stays low in viscosity and flows. Injected at ten defined points, it diffuses through the tissue over 24 to 48 hours rather than sitting as a bolus. It is described in two phases: hydration first, then what the manufacturer calls bio-remodelling. The aim is skin quality and a firmer look rather than plumpness, and it cannot project tissue or change your facial shape.
A LUMI-PRO skin booster places low viscosity hyaluronic acid directly into the dermis as a fine micro-injection grid, delivering hydration where a topical serum cannot reach. What this review shows: nine studies (278 participants) of the hybrid hyaluronic acid complex used in Profhilo reported improvements, or a trend towards improvement, in skin laxity, elasticity, hydration and density, with mild side effects such as bruising and swelling that usually settled within 72 hours. Three of the five authors work for the manufacturer, and the studies are small. It relates to Profhilo only and is not used to support claims about LUMI-PRO. Profhilo may improve the look of skin laxity over the two-session protocol. Individual results vary, and outcomes are not guaranteed.
Every skin tone, including Fitzpatrick IV to VI
Skin boosters for darker and melanin-rich skin.
How they hydrate. A skin booster places hyaluronic acid in the skin, where it holds water. That works the same way in every skin tone, which is why skin boosters and Profhilo are suitable for all skin types, including Fitzpatrick V to VI. Hyaluronic acid does not interact with melanin.
Where the care goes. In deeper skin tones the consideration is the needle, not the product: any injection can leave post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) if the skin is handled roughly. At your consultation Arman asks about marks left by spots, cuts or past treatments and checks whether a booster is the right fit. On the day he uses conservative technique with fewer passes, and checks how your skin has healed before the next session.
If your main concern is existing pigmentation, a skin booster is not the treatment for it. We will say so and point you to the pigmentation options instead. Individual results and suitability vary.
